Sustainability
Cork is harvested by hand every nine years, a natural process that supports the health and regeneration of the tree.
Cork oak forests absorb 32 million tonnes of CO₂ each year. Protecting and using cork helps preserve these vital carbon-storing ecosystems.
Biodegradable and can be composted or recycled at the end of its life. At LIGA, we run a nationwide cork recycling scheme with our stockists.
