1956 Marine Automatic, Steel / Blue Fade
By AV86
In the 1950s, diving changed forever with the first purpose-built dive watches, critical tools that divers relied on for timing and safety underwater. The 1956 Marine Automatic is AV86's tribute to that era of innovation, with Super-LumiNova® for true legibility in the dark and a uni-directional bezel with a ceramic inlay and its own luminous scale.
The 41mm case is machined from 316L high precision stainless steel with a screw-down caseback, individually numbered, and protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. At 20 ATM / 200 meters, this is a genuine tool diver. The movement is a Miyota 8215 automatic: 42-hour power reserve, self-winding rotor, hacking seconds, date display. The Blue Fade dial is a textured gradient, shifting from deep navy at the outer edge to lighter blue at the centre, like open water catching morning light. Fitted on a genuine Italian leather strap with pin buckle.
