The 1956 Marine is AV86's tribute to one of the great turning points in dive watch history: the year the French Navy introduced its first purpose-built diver. A milestone moment, reinterpreted for today. Shaped by the spirit of exploration and built for everyday wear, it blends clean lines, durable materials, and crisp detailing into a design that feels fresh and effortless. With 200 meters of water resistance, a domed sapphire crystal, and a slim, comfortable profile, it is built to go wherever life leads.

The Dial

A ridged texture adds subtle depth and dimension, playing gently with light throughout the day. With bold luminous markers, the layout is balanced and brings clarity and character to the wrist, finished in a color palette inspired by light and movement.

The Case

The stainless steel case strikes a refined balance between ruggedness and simplicity. Clean surfaces, curved lugs, and a form that feels both timeless and expressive make it comfortable on the wrist and durable in daily wear. Each case is individually numbered.

Acrylic Bezel

Framing the watch is an acrylic bezel, a tactile design detail that brings a soft contrast to the steel case. Slightly raised above the surface, it creates a subtle “bubble” effect around the dial and gives the watch a quietly confident presence.
