AV86's history with moonphase watches began in 2018 with a defining collaboration with Frédérique Constant. In early 2025 they released a limited edition 1968 Moonphase, 250 pieces that vanished almost instantly. The 1968 Moonphase collection is the answer to that demand: a modern reinterpretation in four editions, each elevating one of watchmaking's most poetic complications.

Each edition features a bold guilloché dial that plays with light and depth, revealing intricate detail with every glance. Symmetrical day and date subdials sit at 9H and 3H. At 6H, a rotating disc tracks the moon's 29.5-day cycle, showing a moon and stars through a cutout. In Dark Blue, the effect is a night sky with the moon exactly where it belongs. A Miyota 6P20 quartz movement drives the complication. The 39mm case is 316L high precision stainless steel with a snap-on caseback, under a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. 5 ATM / 50 meters of water resistance, on a flat genuine Italian leather strap with pin buckle.
