The 1956 Marine is AV86's tribute to one of the great turning points in dive watch history: the year the French Navy introduced its first purpose-built diver. A milestone moment, reinterpreted for today.
The green dial carries a ridged texture that adds depth and plays with the light through the day, set off by bold luminous markers and curved lugs. Framing it is an acrylic bezel, raised slightly above the case to create a soft bubble effect around the dial.
The 41 mm case is 316L stainless steel with a screw-down caseback and is individually numbered, under a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Inside runs a TMI VH31 quartz movement with a sweeping seconds hand, giving the fluid motion of a mechanical watch with quartz reliability. 20 ATM water resistance, on a Cordura Army canvas strap.
